Have you ever wanted to learn to paint in watercolor or believed it was just too difficult a medium? Let Jan Wright show you how much fun it is to paint with watercolors. Learn basics of the color wheel and composition, how to create a palette, what brushes work best, how to make a form look three-dimensional in watercolor, and more.

June 11, 2022
9 AM – 4 PM
Students will take home their own color wheel, a painting of basic 3-D forms, a landscape of their choosing, and a floral painting. The class will end with a positive critique to launch the students into loving to paint in watercolor.
Materials are supplied by instructor.
WHAT TO BRING:
Students will bring their own lunch.
Masks encouraged, especially if not vaccinated.

About The Instructor:
Southwest watercolor artist Jan Wright creates unique and vibrant paintings. She was Mesa Verde’s Artist in Residence in 2012 and currently exhibits at Artisans of Mancos. She has had over 25 one-woman shows, and her work is in several public and private collections.
