This workshop will challenge you to use your powers of observation and imagination to craft surprise in your fiction. You will leave with new tools for addressing creative blocks as well as new techniques and ideas. This is a generative workshop so bring your imagination, your laptop, or a notebook and pen.

About The Instructor:

Lisa C. Taylor is the author of three collections of poetry  and two chapbooks, and two collections of short fiction. She recently completed a novel. Her work has appeared in numerous journals, magazines, and anthologies and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best-of-the-Net Awards. Her honors include the New Works Fiction Award from Hugo House in 2015, finalist distinctions in numerous international contests, and, along with Irish writer Geraldine Mills, the 2011 Elizabeth Shanley Gerson Lecturer of Irish Literature at University of Connecticut. Three of Lisa’s books have been taught in college classes. Lisa holds an MFA in Creative Writing and formerly taught at a university. She is the co-director of the Mesa Verde Writers Conference in Mancos.  www.lisactaylor.com
