Nancye Culbreath, from Monticello Utah. Canyonlands, Arches National Park, Monument Valley, and Natural Bridges are practically in Culbreath’s backyard. These locations offer a wealth to paint and many of her paintings reflect canyon landscapes.
Since moving to Utah Culbreath has been painting full time when she is not hiking the canyons and sightseeing or working on their property of 7 acres. She has been an artist at Gallery Moab, and is currently represented at the Kayenta Art Village, in St. George, Utah.
Nancye will be giving a two-day workshop on the technique of combining watercolor and wax on Kinwashi Rice paper. It is an exciting process that incorporates layers of watercolor and wax to reveal a final painting that is truly unique. The two day workshop will enable participants to experi- ment and explore, as well as create a final piece.
